Overcoming Huge Odds – Week 17

Last week I wrote about the odds of being born. We all overcame HUGE odds and we all were born into this world! Envision the voice of Donald Trump……HUUUUUUUUGE!

“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” ~ Albert Einstein.

“I can accomplish far more than I have, for why should the miracle which produced me end with my birth? Why can I not extend that miracle to my deeds of today?” ~ Og

Anytime I hear someone wronged someone else I think to myself KARMA. Karma will come back to haunt them….and usually it does…funny how that happens. So, if karma works for negativity, karma should work in the exact opposite fashion as well. Such as, sending positive thoughts towards someone, encouraging others and complimenting them, right? Give More, Get More? Conclusion, karma goes both ways.

Think of the miracle we could create in a persons life by paying them a compliment? We don’t know where people are in their lives. What if paying a sincere compliment to that store clerk, waitress, or the customer service rep. on the phone positively changes the outlook of thier day? What a great gift to give somebody! I’ve decided to create a new habit to compliment others regularly from now on. I think you should too. Who knows, maybe some good karma may flow your way.

These guys and gals, in the video below, gave away hundreds of free hugs at a local farmers market in their community. I can only imagine the impact they had on the lives of all those they came in contact with. Do yourself a favor and watch this short video below.

We have a new website in the works. Look for it in the coming weeks. As always, thank you for stopping by.

I appreciate you!

I won the lottery! – Week 16

The Powerball jackpot winning ticket this week was worth an astounding 1.6 Billion. The odds of winning the jackpot….1 in 292,201,338 million….not so astounding. In comparison,  you’d have the same odds of being struck by lightning 304 times! The real winners in this lotto scheme is the Federal government as they rake in 39.6% or 633 million dollars….I won’t go into anymore detail here as I may get upset.

Charles Haanal writes in his book – The Master Key System “Premature wealth is but the forerunner of humiliation and disaster, because we cannot permanently retain anything which we do not merit or which we have not earned”

Obviously money doesn’t buy happiness. Money is a necessity of life no doubt but, if it is not rightfully earned, gaining riches can be a recipe for disaster. Previous “big time” lotto winners have been quoted saying “I wish I have torn up the ticket”. Another past winner said after going bankrupt “I’m just glad it’s over”. These are cases where I can look to the principles I am learning and reading about in this course.

“Wealth is a product of labor. Capital is an effect, not a cause; a servent, not a master; a means, not an end.” ~ Haanal.

Of coarse, every lottery winner is different. Not everyone who wins is going to frivolously blow all their winnings. Although, statistics show about 70% of all lotto winners end up going broke and filing for bankruptcy!

The point? “Fact. Harmony and happiness are states of consciousness and do not depend upon the possession of things. If we desire material possession of any kind our chief concern should be to acquire the mental attitude which will bring about the result desired.” ~ Haanal

In other words, positively change your mind, your attitude, and your perspective on life for the better and you’ll get everything you ever wanted. If you are not happy with your life now, no material or financial riches will create happiness for you.

I have read the odds of being born are between 1 in 400 trillion and 1 in 400 quadrillion, depending on whose numbers you’re looking at. So, that means I would have been 1.4 million times more likely to win the powerball lotto than to be born! How’s that for perspective?

“I am not on this earth by chance. I am here for a purpose and that purpose is to grow into a mountain, not to shrink to a grain of sand. Henceforth will I apply all my efforts to become the highest mountain of all and I will strain my potential until it cries for mercy.” Og Mandino, The Greatest Salesman in the World.

I won the lottery of life.

We all won the lottery of life. We are nature’s greatest miracles!

Lets go put our lives to good use….shall we?

Gratitude – Week 15

For this weeks blog, I’m going to revert back to a post I made back around Thanksgiving time. I am having many of these same thoughts about what I’m grateful for, this week, and I wanted to expand on them a little bit.

Reading part 9 of the Master Key System this week, Haanal speaks of “three things which all mankind desires and which are necessary for his highest expression and complete development“. These three things are Health, Wealth, and Love.

It was obvious to me that health is on this list. You simply cannot be happy if your body is in pain.

Love was a “no brainer” to me as well. I think to a saying that sticks in my head…..it is better to be with someone you love living in a tent on a beach than living in a mansion all by yourself!

Wealth. I struggled with this one at first. When I thought of wealth I imagined financial riches. I continued reading and it was spelled out perfectly for me. “All will not so readily admit that Wealth is necessary, but all must admit that a sufficient supply at least is necessary, and what would be considered sufficient for one, would be considered absolute and painful lack for another.”  For a homeless person, Wealth may be knowing they have a warm bed to sleep in and a hot meal to eat daily. Whereas for someone else, to them Wealth means something different.

This brings me to the title of this blog….What are YOU grateful for? I viewed a video today of Mark Januszewski, the face of the MasterKey Mastermind Alliance course I’m taking, where he goes over how to achieve wealth in life….or….how to figure out if you already possess it!

Mark says, write down three things that you are grateful for everyday for 90 days….and no repeats! His reasoning….”The more things that you are grateful for in your life, the more things that WILL APPEAR for you to be grateful for in your life!”  Wow.  I’m linking this to Wealth in my life.

Here is that short vid….

I’m grateful for My Family. (1/8/16 add in) Especially my bride, Amber! She is always, and always has been, super supportive of me in everything I have ever wanted to do since we have been together. I have been putting in loads of time into my MKMMA journey and she has been my cheerleader. I’m thankful for the support of my fellow Master Key peeps, My Neighbors 🙂 , for the weekly encouragement putting wind in my sails.

I’m grateful for My Health (1/8/16 add in) As a class we are writing out gratitude cards daily of what I am grateful for in my life…mostly little things. The cards are starting to pile up! One thing, that most may take for granted on a daily basis, comes to mind that I wrote pertaining to health….it was exactly this….”I’m thankful to be able to use the restroom with ease.” This may sound funny or off the wall but I mean it. I heard a guy that has ulcerative colitis give a testimonial about his condition and what he described in his worst of times I cant even imagine it….Hence my gratefulness.

I’m grateful for The MKMMA. This course is assisting me in finding my “Wealth”…..My mind has never worked so hard! 🙂 (1/8/16 add in) I’m thankful for the support of my fellow Master Key peeps, My Neighbors 🙂 , for the weekly encouragement putting wind in my sails…You all know who you are!

So, What are you Grateful for?

Love you all,

Peace Be The Journey! – Week 14

Back in the early 90’s I remember one of my babysitters taking me and my brothers to the movie theater to see Cool Runnings. The story about 4 athletes and their coach who had the determination to compete in the Olympic Games as bobsleders. Who remembers that movie? The film was one of my favorites growing up.

We were asked to make this weeks blog topic about the 4 habits of persistence and to review a movie(Cool Runnings) that supported these crucial habits.

Persistence is needed to accomplish anything you choose to undertake.

There are 4 tiny habits that you must have that make up “persistence”.

1) A Purpose – The team was determined to compete in the Olympics at all costs.

2) A Positive Mental Attitude – Derice was the definite leader here. Throughout the movie “NO” was not an acceptable answer for him. He persisted with his positive attitude.

3) A Plan of Action – The team trained hard despite living in Jamaica, never seeing ice before. They had a plan when they reached the trials and the Olympics to physically train hard in the harsh winter environment that they had never encountered before.

4) A Master Mind Alliance – No one succeeds without a mastermind! The Jamaican team had each other as a mastermind. They pushed each other to excel. It’s simple to give up if you are working towards something by yourself…but if you have masterminding partner(s) with you along for the ride you would find it difficult to throw in the towel.

I hadn’t seen Cool Runnings in years. This is hard to describe…..I am learning and growing personally during this Master Key Experience course I’m taking and I watched this movie from a totally different perspective. I saw the movie for the first time in a different light. I saw for the first time that there was no stopping these guys from fulfilling their goal. Can’t was not in their vocabulary. They were unstoppable.

“I will ignore the obstacles at my feet and keep mine eyes on the goals above my head, for I know that where dry desert ends, green grass grows!” ~ Og Mandino

I appreciate the time you’ve taken out of your day to read this and I want to encourage you to go watch Cool Runnings again if you have seen it, or if you haven’t seen it before check it out and look for the 4 tiny habits of persistence.

Peace Be The Journey…..

Time to DIG IN! – Week 13

Through these last 13 weeks I have been critiquing a plan for myself. My purpose. A plan put in place, by me, and under the guidance of the MKMMA crew, and mapped out to be executed over the next few years. Loads and loads of work and self-directed thought has been put into my plan….my DMP(Definite Major Purpose).

I wrote about having an unclear vision of my future at the start of this course. Now, the vision of my future has never been clearer. I know where my life is heading and I cannot imagine it being any other way. What an unbelievable feeling!

The work I mention above is crucial no doubt, but not much money making, actual cash flow generating “work” has been done up through this point. It’s time for the traction point, where the rubber meets the road.

It’s time for action!

The time has come to dig in and push harder than ever before in return for my new life!

I was not delivered unto this world in defeat, nor does failure course in my veins. I am not a sheep waiting to be prodded by my shepherd. I am a lion and I refuse to talk, to walk, to sleep with the sheep. I hear not those who weep and complain, for their disease is contagious. Let them join the sheep. The slaughterhouse of failure is not my destiny. I persist until I succeed. ~ Og

Merry Christmas,

Easily Distracted? Week 12

I’m addicted to my smart phone. Yep, I admit it. The first step is admitting you have a problem, right?

I looked up some statistics, because I was curious, and the average American is on the internet 2.5 hours per day……not too shocking. The real shocker was when I saw the average American watches nearly 5 hours of TV per day! Holy Cow!

We all have things we do to relax, to zone out, to get away, or however you want to label it. I get it. To get away from our long day on the job. Or, the long day you had with the kids and now they are in bed and it’s your “me” time. I get it.  What if we would push through and get on the other side of our bad habits and do something positive and constructive with that free time? Think of that goal you would like to reach. Envision the endless possibilities! Can you imagine what life would be like?

We are reading Part 12 of the Master Key System this week. Haanel writes…..“The time and thought which most people waste in aimless effort would accomplish wonders if properly directed with some special object in view. In order to do this, it is necessary to center your mental force upon a specific thought and hold it there, to the exclusion of all other thoughts.”

Haanel continues in paragraphs 6 and 7….                                                             “But your ideal must be sharp, clear-cut, definite; to have one ideal today, another tomorrow, and a third next week, means to scatter your forces and accomplish nothing; your result will be a meaningless and chaotic combination of the wasted material”

“If a sculptor started out with a piece of marble and a chisel and changed his ideal every fifteen minutes, what result could he expect?”

I downloaded an app on my phone its called “Rescue Time”  This app tracks time spent on applications such as Facebook, Twitter, ect…I encourage you to check it out…it’s a real eye opener.

Are your daily activities advancing you toward your goals?

I am easily distracted. I am far from perfect, but I am heading in the right direction because of this Master Key Mastermind Alliance course. Check it out here

See you next week!
